2021 Winners revealed at Gala Awards Evening

The 2021 Business Awards for East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire reached a dramatic conclusion with the Winners announced at the Gala Awards Evening at Pirelli Stadium on Thursday 11th November.

All the finalists from the 11 categories were in attendance, along with the sponsors, guests and dignitaries. The black tie evening was once again a sell-out, with 260 guests enjoying the hospitality laid on by Burton Albion FC, which included a four course meal, local entertainment, and of course the announcement of the Winners on the various categories.

More details and pictures from the evening will be published in the coming days and weeks, but here is a list of the 2021 Winners in each of the categories. Congratulations to all of them, along with the Finalists too who all did so well to make the shortlist.

Overall Business of the Year:   Roger Bullivant (Swadlincote)

Most Promising New Start-Up Business:   QT Products (Hilton)

Small Business of the Year (1-20 FTE):   Rushton Hickman (Burton)

Medium Business of the Year (21-100 FTE):   Branston Golf & Country Club (Branston)

Employer of the Year:   Ginho Group (Burton)

Young Employee of the Year:   Gemma Smith, Alpha Manufacturing (Hixon)

Rising Star Award:   Ruth Hallows, Ashes Memorial Jewellery (Burton)

Best Customer Service Performance:   Murray’s Funeral Directors (Burton & Swadlincote)

Manufacturer of the Year:  Alpha Manufacturing (Hixon)

Best Use of Innovation or technology:   Ashes Memorial Jewellery (Burton)

Leisure, Hospitality & Retail Award:   Natural Dogs Direct (Burton)
